1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the DropMate platform (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to all of these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

DropMate is a peer-to-peer delivery platform that connects individuals who need to send items ("Customers") with travelers who are willing to transport those items ("Travelers"). DropMate provides the technology to facilitate these connections but does not provide delivery services directly and is not a common carrier.

3. User Eligibility & Accounts

  • Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
  • DropMate reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these terms.

4. User Responsibilities

For Customers:

You are responsible for accurately describing the items to be shipped, ensuring they are safely packaged, and confirming they do not contain prohibited items.

For Travelers:

You are responsible for verifying the contents of the parcel before acceptance, ensuring safe transport, and delivering the item to the designated recipient in a timely manner.

5. Prohibited Items

Users are strictly prohibited from sending or transporting:

  • Illegal drugs or controlled substances
  • Hazardous materials or explosives
  • Firearms or ammunition
  • Currency, bullion, or precious stones
  • Perishable goods (unless specifically agreed)
  • Items prohibited by local or international laws

6. Payments and Fees

Payments are processed through our third-party payment provider (PayHere). By using the service, you agree to the payment terms of both DropMate and PayHere.

  • Delivery fees are calculated based on the weight, size, and distance of the delivery.
  • DropMate takes a service fee for every successful transaction.
  • Funds are held in escrow until the delivery is confirmed by the Customer.

7. Limitation of Liability

DropMate acts only as a facilitator. We are not responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of items during transit. Users engage in deliveries at their own risk. Travelers and Customers are encouraged to inspect items and communicate clearly to minimize risks.

8. Termination of Service

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page.
